Installing a bluetooth system in my Corolla

    Hiya,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask for help, but it looks like the closest one in the Boards.ie subforums "tree". Feel free to indicate if I need to post this elsewhere.

I would like to install a bluetooth system in my car (07 Corolla), so that our 2 Android smartphones connect to it and can be used hands-free while driving (whoever is driving, obviously).
Any idea where I could look for the available options and where I should look to take my car to have it fitted?

    Thanks in advance

Parrot bluetooth is popular they do a range of kits to suit different budgets

Personally I would by a kit from ebay and fit myself but as most kits connect into cars stero speakers this isn't as easy as it sounds.

There is lots of guys that specialises in car audio and fitting one of these kits should pose no problem.

If your looking for recommdations of installers you need to give location (s)

    hi

I have installed in both my cars the pioneer unit from halfords. It has parrot bluetooth built in as well as a usb facility for your music and No CD ( suits me as all my music is mp3 ) .

The beauty of the unit is apart from having to place the microphone it's just a simple single DIN configuration ( though depending on your car you may need an ISO adaptor )

    hope this helps

Its very easy to fit a kit in that model.
Aftermarket units look rubbish in new cars imo

I got one of these for my car earlier in the year and it's great. No installation, just clipped onto the visor. The sound is quite good for calls and loud. Two phones can connect to it also, although I just use it with one. It charges with a micro usb cable so no extra cables dangling around the car or needing to be hidden. It attaches to the clip by a magnet so I just pull it off and bring it inside to charge every few weeks.

Did you install it by yourself? And what's the difficult bit about the microphone? I presume that you are talking about routing the cable to somewhere in front of the driver, or is it something else?

Unfortunately, I do not have the knowledge to install this by myself.
I live in Wicklow town and commute to Cherrywood, so any place in between would suit.
Anyone can recommend somebody? Preferably a shop that offers some sort of guarantee (if any damage is caused during the installation, or if any issues occur right after, etc.)
