10 speed cranks with 9 speed components

    Can I use a 10 speed compact crankset on a nine speed bike?will it shift properly?Everything else(mechs,chain,cassette etc)are nine speed.

    Yep, works fine, you can even go the other way. I have an 8 speed chainset on an 10 speed set up. It even has an old 8 front mech and that work great with the 10 speed, loads of trim.
