    Hello Guys,

The BMX Ireland National Championships 2013 will run on Sun 29th Sept at Ratoath BMX track.

Think you're quick on a bike...... well now's your chance to prove it whether on a traditional sized BMX with 20 inch wheels or a larger wheeled bike in the "cruiser" class.

    The rules stipulate the following:

wheels size classes are below 22.5" and above 22.5 , so if you have a cruiser, 26",27.5" even 29" mtb you can enter, gears are allowed as are disk brakes.

Online entries and all the details can be found over here - http://bmxireland.ie/events/national-championships-2013/

    Chris

Sylvia Gallagher was up practicing her gates starts in DCBMX last night. Looking positive but i think they still need more junior/senior ladies to abide by minimum entry regulations and award All Ireland Champion titles.......

Bit of a thread resurrection but I think it deserves an update.

BMX Ireland sent 64 riders to the recent Cycling World Championship in Scotland

60 juniors and 4 Adults competed.

Not much silverware in the adult area but we came away with a junior W6 (World Number 6) and W3 (World Number 3) in two youth racing classes.

I can’t post Facebook links here but you you search on Facebook for Cycling Ireland BMX Commission there is a full Wrap Up report and plenty of photos.

That is phenomenal, under reported unfortunately but a lot to be proud of.
