    Hi,
I need a bit of help. I want to go away for 3 nights/4days skiing n Europe in winter maybe febuary on the cheap. I previously did Alpe Duez in france, flew into Grenoble with Ryanair and was thinking I've in sorted now for next few years but now Ryanair only fly to grenoble 1 time a week. So that great option is gone...

Anyone know of anywhere handy i.e. regular direct budget flight, Easy transfer ( 2 hours ), central budget hotel with access to ski lifts ???

    Many thanks:)

    Hi Eoghan,

I don't know exactly what type of skiing you're looking for, but basd on what you've said about regular, cheap flights and an easy transfer time you could try looking at the Skiwelt in Austria? You can google the area & see what you think- but my (admittedly biased!) recommendation would be Soll.

Aer Lingus have two flights a day to Munich, 7am and 1630, getting in at approx 10.30 am & 7pm local time respectively, and the transfer to Soll is a 1.5-2 hour drive approx, minibus taxi transfer is €49 each way, or you can get the train.

Nice flight times, nice transfers, nice skiing, nice nightlife. Simples :-)

I went to a place called Val Cenis in January, flew to Turin and drove to France. It cost us around 450 all in for a week afair. 180 odd kms of piste too.

    or

How about flying to Switzerland and getting transport to the french alps again to ski at St.Gervais?? It is fab there. I was there last year in January.
