Just wondering has any one do the Wicklow 200 or even the ROK without Stopping, and if so how did you get on ?

Was thinking of doing both next year and try to do them without stopping for a pit-stop.

You'll need to stop to fill up bottles as I really doubt you'll get round on 2 bottles

180k solo in february of this year with no stops. Ability to eat on the bike and variable conditions are the two things to consider- I guess it depends on the day

Going start doing 100k my place to kankurk and back would be 122k so ill do 50k out and 50k back and build from their want to get used to cycling long distance solo with out the need to stop, this should give me a good idea how my tri training is coming along

Had two full bottles with me, but it was cold and didn't really need all that much, but ymmv. Condition dependant like I said.

Cork I wouldn't say 100k plus without stopping should be a problem. Fill your pockets!

    Hi

It is possible but depends on a few things.

I did the Ring of Kerry this year with the aim of not stopping.

Made it to Charrciveen and I badly needed to pee.
Stopped for about ten minutes to attend the toilet, then had an espresso and filled both bidons.

Other than that I brought no food with me - didn't need any.
Had a good breakfast of eggs and nuts before I left.

It is possible if you dont need to go to the toilet or can go on the bike.

I was hungry at the finish but I don't feel that I was ever low on energy despite not eating on the bike - my final 40k was my fastest despite crap roads.
