Hi , I attended last sept and oct to get a few moles removed , the place seems quite dodgy going in , it's hidden in the back of a few shops and never seen any other patients any time I was there , one or two moles are gone completely but after the three sessions I have some that are unfinished and half removed which I'm not happy with . Would have been better leaving them as they were coz they look worse now , I plan to contact them about this . Hope it goes ok for you , can think of better places to go anyway .

Thanks Claire. I'm having second thoughts now though. I was planning to get 2 removed from my face but I think I'll do some more research first!! Hope everything works out ok for you. Thanks

If it's your face I prob would redeem your voucher back and go through ur doc to a specialist , there's a man in navan called dr shaike "perfectskin.ie" who I'm going to attend about face moles after the summer , I know he's 100consuktation fee but when it comes to your face it's important it's done right . I rang Newcastle yesterday and im going thurs about the half job done on some on my arms .

Yes I agree completely. I have no issue with paying to have it done by a professional especially that's it's the face. I got a couple removed from my arm years ago in the local hospital. It left small scars but not bad. I will definitely look into that guy in navan. Thanks again for the reply and I wish you all the best.

If you have health insurance it will cover this procedure for you. Lots of drs now perform it in their surgeries. They also send it to the lab for analysis and you'll know for sure there's nothing nasty going on in it then.

If you don't have health insurance and your doctor recommends you get the mole removed they'll refer you to a public clinic to get it done where you also wont have to pay. I had one removed and they can leave quite a deep hole below the skin as they have roots and this can leave you open to infection. I'd never trust anyone but a doctor to oversee this procedure.
