Taxback after unemployment?

I worked from Jan to May of this year and then was on Job seekers benefit from June to August. I started work again the last week of August and have been paid twice since then. My first pay was on a week 1 basis and so I rang the tax office and sorted it so that they issued a cumulative tax cert for me which I received 2 weeks ago. I got paid again today and while I received the correct amount, I thought that I would receive some tax back because I had been paying a lot when I worked before the summer and then was unemployed for 3 months, but I didn't get any tax back. Should I be due any?

Jobseekers Benefit is a taxable source of income

I know that. However I would have thought that even though I received JSB, I would still have over-paid tax in the first 5 months. Maybe not.
