Spoke to Revenue Commission and they have no clue how to deal with it , spoke to nct test centre where they do VRT , they said if calculator is showing you will have to pay ....

Edit : Sorry I meant discount not exemption

No exemption on a Hybrid, only on a fully electric car.

You do get a discounted rate though, which is why it's less than €1400. That's seriously cheap for a 2 year old car.
