it use to be paid a week in arrears.

maybe that is the issue? and it won't be paid until next Thurs. Maybe double check any correspondence ( I could be wrong).

Payment is every thursday(I received mine today) but you must furnish your local social welfare office with a letter stating you are a full time student registered and attending you chosen course/college. Its a standard letter your college admin/registrations office will already have prepared as they give out so many to other btea recipients.

Did you start the course this Monday?

Hi i got the same letter monday and rang my local welfare office and asked them how and when it was paid i was advised it would be in my account and not to go to the post office. I was wondering will i still get paid for the days before i started my course

I started Monday 16th (even though I had already gotten my letter of acceptance and handed in my letter to say I am registered and starting on the 16th over a week before the day I started) and I still had to collect my payment in the Post Office this week. Luckily I got a day off because labs are not on in the first week.

yeah as far as I know the letter stating you are returning is different to the one saying you are actually attending. I know its bull**** Bureaucracy but I just kept them happy by giving them both letters and everything worked out fine.

Youll not be backpaid if you are picking up a post office payment every week.
