    Hi,
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.
I am using windows 7 and up until last week I could use the default program on office to open documents.
Now every time I try to open a document,it requests payment to full access office which I don`t really need nor can afford.
Is there any way to revert back to using the default without having the payment box come up and block access, rather important as I have to use it for course work.
    Many thanks
My laptop is probably just under 1 year old,if this helps.

if you didn't pay for office, and microsoft caught up with you and revoked your access to your use of the software, theres not much else you can do besides pay.

Microsoft offers several avenues for college students to purchase office on the cheap. 365 University is chief among them. Individual colleges may have their own purchase agreements however allowing you to get it for as little as a tenner, or even possibly for free as part of your course.

And then there is a variety of free alternatives which can handle your MS Word documents:

    Softmaker Office

    Libre Office

    Kingsoft Office

If you only need a word processor and no spreadsheet or presentation software:

    AbiWord
