Woodies have a paint sale at the moment. I don't have all the details but their Crown 2.5ltr emulsions are €16 (usually €32 to €34) until the 28th Sept.
I'm at work and can't put up a link but it's on their website. www.woodiesdiy.com

I seriously doubt it was every €32 for 2,5 litres when colortrend is only about €60 for 5 lifers and its twice as good. Paints you find in woodies are watered down compared to the trade versions(although the DIY ones are significantly more expensive). The only decent affordable paint is colortrend. If you like a more expensive colour such as farrow and ball range, a paint shop will happily make you a good quality generic with colortrend.

Hfallada, unfortunately I paid €32.99 for it in B&Q last week.
If I was Paddy147 I'd have a photo of the receipt to prove it, you'll just have to take my word for it :)

crown 2.5ltr is nowhere near €32, more like €26 or €27, unless its one of the specialist kitchen/bathroom or easyclean ranges. If you paid €32 for a 2.5l of normal emulsion you must have found the most expensive shop in the country.

    Sorry, didn't hear you ?

Farrow & Ball - class paint and great to work with, but pricey.

Colourtrend - same, but cheaper than above.

Fleetwood trade 10 ltr buckets of white and magnolia for a neutral freshen-up are decent.

The rest can feck off, particularly the pissy own brands. Absolutely useless. That Crown stuff is shocking.

Yeah my local independent hardware store are doing a 5lt Crown Promotion for E30 too (it seems to be run by crown, there were crown posters advertising it) . Painted the sitting room last weekend and was impressed with it they matched it to Colourtrend colours. I'm a big Fleetwood paint fan but found the Crown fine.
