Highest stableford score witnessed

Was thinking about tour professionals and I imagine that a tour pro would equate a level par round to an average club golfer scoring 36pts. Presuming that's the case Furyk's 12 under 59 would equate to 48 stableford points. My query is what is the highest stableford score you ever had or witnessed. I myself had a ridiculous 45pts (for me) about three years ago in Mitchelstown but had the wind taken out of my sails when the local competition in Mallow was won with 50pts the same weekend............how high or low can you go?

Highest I've seen is 49. Lad was off 7 off at the time so went around in 6 under gross. I've played with the same fella a couple of times and he's well capable tbh.

I've had 45 personally. I was off 10 at the time and shot +1 gross. Still the best round of life today. Got beat on a count back by a guy off 4 who shot -5 gross. Next best score on the day was 39 points.

I've seen a score of 48 returned but that was in the group behind me..

    I had a couple of 46's and 47's and one 48. All off 18/19.
Off 17 now and only broke 36 three times this year.
My brother had 52 of 15. It wasn't an official handicap cause he wasn't a member anywhere and only plays 6/7 times a year.

I saw a 50 recently, my buddy (a member on here!) was bulling as he was mad to get cut and 38 but then CSS turned out to be 38!

    I've seen 50pts. CSS 39.

I've had 2 insane stableford score in the last year but they are unofficial as they were off last years handicap (no club this year but rejoining for next year).

Not going to post them though.

how on earth are you only off 17 after scoring those rounds ?! I'm assuming they weren't competitions ?!

Oh they were. 48 off 19 got cut 2. Back out to 19 in the space of 2 years.
These scores are over a 10 year span.

    That's 1 under gross of 15 isn't it? For a fella off 15, playing 6/7 times a year?

    Seriously?

Why bother with a thread like this, seems the poster is going to get ridiculed for posting a rare high score. It happenz! Not to me mind you Lol.

Had 51 in a 4 ball better ball last year and a few years ago had a 2 over gross in Roganstown off 13 which was 47 I think.

I remember when I 1st started playing in Holystown that unless you were in the 40's you had no chance of winning now in our club comps in Portmarnock Links you might see a 40 only twice a year, 34 won our presidents prize on Sunday.

Not ridiculing the poster at all. Don't doubt what he has posted.

More doubting his brother who had 1 under off 15. Either his handicap was beyond ridiculous or the magic pencil was at work. Given that he played 6/7 times a year, he was either Tiger Woods or Vijay Singh (circa 1985).

Don't doubt it. Its true. He never joined a club due to finances but is one of those people who is talented at sports.
He could possibly play off a single figure but now is the worst chipper of the ball ever. Put something in his way ie bunker or water and its more likely he could be in both or anywhere but on the green.
As others have mentioned these scores happen, i just mentioned one that my brother had.

Played with a guy who went around Grange Castle many years ago level off 14 for 50points, course was just opening and bunkers were out of play, can't remember if he was in one at any stage, one of those days when everything just went in

    myself - 45 points off 18, +9

Seen 50 points off 16 on twitter last week during a practice round. Don't think that card will be handed in.

Think my best ever was 42.

Heard a story earlier this year how a guy off 19 brought in 50 points and the club in question cut his h/c dramatically and refused to publish the results !

If he can shoot 1 under he can definitely play off single figures.

If he can do it whilst only playing 6-7 times a year, he should be close to scratch in my book.

i had 51 points as a juvenile off 24. Card is at the parents house and framed. Lost 5 shots for my troubles as well.

Oh to be off 24 again.

There are always some high scores in the juvenile competitions isn't there. I once had 45 points in a juvenile/junior comp and came 3rd! My brother had 46 and another guy had 49.

Scored 45pts of 15 (got cut to 12) during the good spell of weather back in July. The course was playing very easy for two weeks and the winning scores were all around 44-46pts. When open week rolled around they wanted to make it a bit harder, so they started placing the pins in the hardest spots they could find on the green, some of them were comical, the greenkeeper posted a picture on facebook with the pin on the slope of the tiered green (it wasn't really left there).

Funny that cause some courses actually do that, its like playing crazy golf!

Think I've played with someone who shot 42/43 but never higher than that, our course generally winners are under 40 with the odd 42 popping up once or twice a year!

Not stableford but my best was net 54. 67 gross (-1) off 13. Once in a lifetime round - haven't scored anything like it since.

Winner of the Presidents prize in Faithlegg had 50pts off 13 handicap last month.
Genuine guy and player. Just sank every putt on every green.

I know this thread is looking for single scores, but I have to own up/boast: I was in a three-man team event on Saturday (another member here on the team too), one to count everywhere with two to count at 9 and 18, we won with 61 points, or one better than level-threes.

We won by about four from what I heard, club only put first place result on the site! Everything just fell into place, we all scored well at different times
