Incorrect Details on Learner Permit

So....after a month wait I got my learners permit in the post this morning.
They have my middle name incorrectly noted on the license, someone in the office decided to correct what they though was a spelling error when in fact it was a non Irish middle name.
My application did not have a middle name on it, as everyone gets it wrong, and my passport has my correct full name.

Should I go back to get them correct it?

Do. Change of details are normally free.

    Thanks Victor.

I would assume that my passport and their botched licence will be enough to get them to re-issue the correct version?

Take a copy of the incorrect licence. Even though the details are wrong it may be useful to have it.

I went into them today. Shambles to say the least. After lots of checking their files and my original submission and asking me if I was sure all my other documents were correct.

Took all my willpower to not scream at them telling them I've had the same name for near on 33 years and they were wrong not me.

Anyway, after all that they are off to reissue my license.

That is unfortunate to hear. Today I have received mine with the wrong name entirely. Although I handed them all the required documents with my name on it, they have sent me out my learners permit which has my fathers name on it. I intend on getting this replaced ASAP. I am not happy whatsoever with this so called ''customer focused'' service they claim to be providing and will certainly do my upmost to avoid another 6 weeks waiting to receive a new one. The reason I'm replying is to see how they handled your situation? Will they make you wait another 5-8 weeks?

Took a week for the replacement to come out.
