Perth- where to live?

Currently living in Prahran area of Melbourne, which we really like. We have 2 young children. Thinking of relocating to Perth, work in Subiaco area. Any suggestions for a suitable suburb within easy commute distance (not by car)?

Subiaco itself looks good online but with 2 kids it might not be suitable and its pricy to rent there. Anyone know anything about Wembley or Claremont ?

    Thanks

Anywhere along the train line to fremantle and you cant go too far wrong then.

Wembley and Caremont both good areas.

I live and work in Subiaco at the moment. Really liking it so far, although as you said, rent is high (we're sharing) and rental properties are in high demand. Anywhere along the Fremantle train line will be nice, the closer to a station the better. There's also a bike path along the train line if you fancy cycling to work!

What line of work are you in?
