Might be asking this in the wrong place so feel free to point me elsewhere if more appropriate.
I have a toyota with the toyota modular in car entertainment system. Or more simply, built in DVD players in the headrests.
The main player and screen is working perfectly but the slave screen isn't. I have been quoted over €300 for a new slave.
I was wondering if this monitor could be connected to the existing main player by av and powered from the normal power outlet?
I know if it works, it would mean a bit of plugging and unplugging but a lot preferable to spending over €300. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Oh and before anyone asks why I can't get the original fixed. Toyota say there is only one company in Ireland who fix these, about 100 miles from me, and when I phoned they say they won't even open it for less than €200. Thanks
