Not enough info. What's it for?

That's a higher end overclocking board. If you are aiming for high overclocks you should get at least a coolermaster hyper 212 evo cpu cooler.

    No graphics card?

Get the samsung 840 evo. It's newer, faster and slightly cheaper.

Come back in 3-4 months as things will most likely have changed by then.

    No graphics card?

Because that motherboard doesn't support video out!

Sorry for the double post but I have one or two other questions.
How long does a Bank transfer payment take with hardwareversand.de, And is it safe? I usually would use paypal but they charge more for payments made through paypal and I want to save as much as I can?

Is there any cheaper dvd drives that I can get that the one I linked? I want one to is decently fast at burning dvd's.

And is there any other sites I could buy all these parts for roughly the same price but have a smaller charge on the shipping? It would be very handy if I could order maybe 1 part a week :)

I'd probably spend an extra 35 to get this motherboard and this powersupply so you will have SLI support. Cooler could be added down the line

Hardwareversand is perfectly safe. Ordered a ton of parts from it. It can take anywhere between a day to three days for the money to go through

I put through a transfer on Monday around noon and received an email from them on Tuesday morning saying they'd got it and everything was ok.

What would be the added benefit of SLI?
And I have never heard anything about those be quit PSU's and I've always used and loved corsair so I thought id be safe to stick with them.

You can have two graphics cards in your PC for double the power. It would be better than a GTX Titan

I know 2 guys that both use SLI and don't recommend it even if its the cheaper alternative because with some games there is just always a problem and Id rather just upgrade my card every 2 years or so

I don't see the problem. Virtually all the latest games work perfectly with sli.

The odd older title that doesn't will run fine on 1 card.

hmm I suppose, but if you had 2 660ti that need a 450watt + PSU wouldn't that mean you would need a 900watt + PSU?

No. 660ti draws less than 200w under load. You must've never that 450 number includes all other components in the system, in addition, it is inflated to accommodate ****ty PSUs.

550w or higher will be fine for SLI 660tis.

Those 660ti's only draw 135w of power. Maybe 150w overclocked. About 150w for a highly overclocked fx 6300 and about 50w max for the rest of the system. That's a max of around 500w.

700w is a good bet to run efficiently.

Ok fair enough :) Thanks for explaining everything :) might go with SLI later on down the line

Just one last thing, Could you recommend a different PSU? I really can't afford the 80 euro for the one linked above to my make build SLI Compatible. I don't mind the extra 10 for the upgraded Mobo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,299 ✭✭✭✭BloodBath

The 500w one you picked would be fine then and you could still run sli with those cards on it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,122 ✭✭✭killanena

    ok thanks :)

Is there any better other disk drive I should get instead?
Im thinking of going for the http://www.hardwareversand.de/articl...75473&agid=699
Only thing I want it for really is to install windows and burn dvd's
