Baggage check-in / drop-off (Aerlingus) - Dublin Airport

    Folks,
Any time i've travelled Aer Lingus from Dublin it was always hand-luggage so always did the self check-in.

Have to check-in a bag this time... is there a baggage drop-off with Aer Lingus (meaning I can use the self-service), or do I need to Q up and check-in the traditional way?

    Thanks

I've always queued with Aer Lingus when checking in luggage and never found to be waiting long. They seem to have so many desks open & operational that queueing is actually okay I've found :)

You print off your boarding card at the kiosk/machine or at home and take your bag to a bag drop counter in the airport.

If I'm checking in a bag, I'll reserve my seat and check-in online at home but I'll elect to pickup the boarding card in the airport, then I let the Aer Lingus official at the desk print my boarding card as I'm dropping off my bag.

Even if I'm not dropping off a bag, I'll checkin at home (to reserve my seat the day before) but I'll take the option to print the boarding card at one of the green kiosks when I get to the airport.

Printing off an A4 boarding card at home is a terrible waste of expensive printer ink.

Doing my bit for the environment ;)
