My solicitor has informed me that contracts will be ready for me to sign this Monday coming, it will then take up to 4 weeks to get the keys!

4 weeks seems a bit much as money is ready to be released from the bank.

What would be a normal timeline after signing contract to getting the keys???

I think 4 weeks is about the average. If its empty it could be much sooner.

Your main delay would be the current tenants moving out, if they are in the process of buying a place they could get delayed in getting the keys for their new place.

I just bought a house that was previously rented and it took 3 months, from when we signed, as the Landlord made a balls of giving the tenant notice and kept doing a disappearing act.
