Mtb with road bike!

Anyone ever go cycling with someone on a road bike or vice versa,reason I ask is I have a mtb and a good friend has a road bike,at the moment neither of us can splash out and get 2nd bikes so I'm just wondering how people found it,if they have ever done it!!

If you 're happy to go (probably) slower to match the speed of the mtb I see no harm of going out with your pal.

It's only a temporary measure, as you soon realise that gearing and position on the bike are very important.

I use these on the commuter. I also convinced a friend to get them on his MTB.

I go for a spin with him now and again too while I'm on the roady. He's only just starting out so the distance is never far and the pace is slow, but for a leisurely spin it's fine.

OP, if you go with skinny tyres, don't forget you'll need new tubes as well.
