Hi , I have a problem printing (wireless) from my laptop .

It only seems to be a problem with word etc , note pad and images will print no problem .

So far i have removed and reinstalled the printer , but as i said it does show up and is set as default .. my problem is printing docs .

I also tried using Open Office instead of Microsoft word/office but the same problem .

If i try print .. doesnt even show it in a Que for printing .

So just to let you know what i have already tried .

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software and drivers are up to date .

I tried using Open source instead of office .

printing works if i print from Note pad or if i print a web page or image .

Printer is a Kodak connected through my router (via wifi not cable )

Router is a vodafone router efiber .

    Any help would be great

    Note : I am a Novice !!

Sorry for the awfully obvious question, but when you're printing from Word, are you sure that you have the printer selected as the destination rather than Document Writer or something? It could be printing to a file rather than to the printer. Its very strange if the document isnt even appearing in the print queue.

What version of Windows are you using? (Press Windows Key + Pause, or right-click My Computer and select "Properties" to find this)
What version of Office are you using?
    What model is your printer?
What type of port is Windows using to talk to the printer? (In the printer list, right-click and select "Printer Properties", then go to "Ports" tab and look for the box with a tick in it and make a note of what that line says).

With your OS CD, run sfc /scannow and see if it repairs any damaged OS files

Hi Its Windows 7 version, Microsoft Office 2007, the printer is a Kodak ESPC 310+ 3 271.The box with a tick in it says EKDEF Standard TCP/IP Port. Hope this gives you all the info you are looking for.

Your comms to the printer are OK as you can print some file types. I think you have a corrupt file or files in your OS

Based on what I can find for that printer, there are two things that might help:

    1) Checking if you've got the latest Kodak software & printer drivers - see here for details.

    2) Checking if you're on the current printer firmware, or close to it - see here for info.

It's unusual (to say the least) that you can print from other applications but not specifically from Office; are you able to use other printers from Office? Have you got all the Office 2007 updates installed?
