    1. What is your budget?

    €1,500.

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer?

Gaming (Dark Souls 2 (When it comes out), Outlast, GTA4, Crysis 2/3, Far Cry 3, Skyrim, Fallout 3/NV, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, the Metro games, the ARMA games and the Total War games just to name a few. Most will be heavily modded as well), Internet, Photoshop and 3D modelling (Blender).

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows?

    Yes, Win7 Home 64-bit.

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?

    No, unfortunately.

    5. Do you need a monitor?

    Nope.

5a. If yes, what size do you need.

    N/A

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future?

    1600x900. I won't be upgrading it, no.

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Wireless Card, Card Reader, DVD drive]

DVD drive, wireless card and, if possible, a graphics card that isn't ATI/AMD. Most games I want to play/mod either aren't compatible with those cards or they run like crap (e.g. Doom 3 with the SikkMod. Christ Almighty, the things I need to do to get that to run properly and even then I can't use certain features of the mod). I don't need a keyboard or mouse.

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking?

    No.

    8. How can you pay?

    Credit card.

    9. When are you purchasing?

    In about 3 weeks.

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based?

South Dublin. I'd like it prebuilt, if possible?

    Thanks very much in advance!

If you arent upgrading the monitor you will be fine with a mid range card, even a 650TI boost edition would probably run everything on max games wise.Should leave a large portion of the budget for other parts

You have plenty of budget to include either a 1080P monitor or even a 1440P monitor

Spending €1500 on a gaming pc to run on an old 1600x900 monitor is madness. You could build a nice 1440p system for that money considering you don't need all the peripherals. You should at the very least buy a nice 24" 1080p ips monitor. You can always use your old monitor as a secondary monitor for displaying your desktop/web while gaming or using dual monitors for development/video editing.

I doubt this somehow. The last gen of ati/amd cards destroyed Nvidia in price/performance in the vast majority of games. The gap is closer now with Nvidias pricing change and the newer 760gtx but the likes of dual 7950's are still amazing value for a 1440p system. I don't know about issues with that Doom 3 mods though.

You should consider overclocking as well. With your budget it would be mad not to and the higher end boards that support dual cards all support overclocking as well. You should be able to get the 4670k to at least 4.3ghz easily. The graphics cards should have about 15% headroom as well.

    LG 24" 1080p IPS €152

You should read more about the 27" 1440p monitors here if you are interested. There's a big selection and they aren't without their risks but a lot of people on boards here have bought them and all have been happy about from a couple who had back light bleed issues that are fixable.

    Windows 7 €35

240 pound Asus 7970s available on OCUK at the moment. That's some serious power and insane value.

    Oh, and if you want a 3570k that'll do 4.6ghz on a Hyper 212 (potentially a tad faster than a 4670k at 4.3ghz) I am selling a mobo/CPU combo of such parts :P
