Just a query regarding TUI membership and membership of the CU if anyone would know.

If you leave the union is your CU account closed? Is it automatic, as in the CU are notified if you don't pay your membership fees?

Given the current situation I'm considering my options and will probably leave TUI if there is a YES vote for HRA. Just trying to figure out how that will affect my savings.

I doubt it. AFAIK, retired members can still be in the credit union and they don't pay any union fees.
They are very helpful if you ring them.

Spent an age trying to get through to them today. I'll drop them an email.

I hope my asking doesn't highlight my account for monitoring for fees payment if it would otherwise go unnoticed! :pac:

I think the credit unions are really just groups of people coming together to save. It's handy to have them by occupation or geographic area, but I don't think there's any rule says if you're not in that occupation or area you can't be in it.
My late father was in the Musicians' credit union all his life, even though he gave up the showbands for teaching once yours truly was on the way.

I joined last year and I was asked if I was a member. Let us know the response because I am considering doing the same.

I am still a member of the TUI Credit Union even though I left the TUI and joined the ASTI about three years ago.Afaik only you can close down your account.

I was wondering the exact same thing as I joined the credit union just in the last year. Definitely considering changing union if TUI vote yes and ASTI no.
