Galaxy S4 charging problems/fault

    Hi all,

I have an S4 for just over a month, and in the last day or so the device has stopped recognising that it is being charged. I just get an image of a grey battery and the device vibrates every few seconds.
I've tried a number of different chargers and a reset, but still no progress. I've had a look on some other Android forums and it looks like this might be a fairly common fault with the S4.
Just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience with the S4?
    Thanks,
    CH Luke

seems to be a commmon Samsung fault not just the S4 ;) All you can do is clean the port with a small soft brush or old toothbrush and do a factory refresh. If both of those dont work id bring it back to where you got it for repair. There are other fixes but not something id recommend for a device under warranty

    Thanks projectgtr,
I tried cleaning the port, but no success. Some other forums suggest its a fault with the USB Port and ribbon and they need to be replaced.
I'll bring it back for repair and see how I get on.

having the same fault with an S3, had the charging port replaced under warranty and 6 weeks later its gone again. Unfortunately my warranty is up now.

Tends to be the usb board allright, if it takes a tap with the charger plugged in it can start to act up, you can "nudge" the board back with a guitar pick, this worked on a few ive done, but again like i said if its under warranty i wouldnt attempt it.

Do they not come with a 2 year warranty? either way i wouldnt accept a repair to only last 6 weeks whether its under warranty or not, id go back to the store asap.
