Speak to FÁS and set up a meeting. They can provide up to 500 euro towards training.

You need to goto FAS or the LES they can help you apply for a TESG grant. It may or may not be eligible though.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Hi seanskyline What happened with the funding? Like did you have an Interview with someone in the Social welfare Office and did you get the Grant? And if so were you waiting long to hear back from them? Did they cover the whole cost of the course? Thanks

    Hi Kerry3333,

I actually went to the FAS office, when it was fas at the time. They asked me why did i want to do the course and if it would lead to any work. I told them it would and they told me within the week that i had the funding for the course. But i did have to pay for my licence myself. Hope this helps and is still the case.

    Best of luck
