I need to buy new jeans. I mostly wear skinny jeans. Do you know where I can get ones that keep their shape? Most of mine get baggy knees and bottoms after a few hours wearing them particularly when I sit for a while. I rarely notice this on other women.

You need to buy some with a decent elastane content. If they're 100% cotton, they won't have any give in them at all, and you'll get the pouching you've noticed. Go for about 30% elastane.

Depending on the quality of the denim you should try washing in a warm wash to get them back to original size. I would have thought maybe less elastane would be better because it is the elastane that loses its stretch after you've been wearing for a while. I think Topman/Topshop stretch skinnies are 2% elastane and they stretch out alot after wear but they always go back after a wash for me.

I think expensive jeans can be worth the investment, check out Nudie jeans, they give instructions on how to wash and shrinkage and stretching etc on their site but they are bit pricey.

    Good luck ;)

I had an Only pair that lasted forever and I was heartbroken when they eventually ripped. I also love my Warehouse skinnies.

River Island jeggings keep their shape brilliantly, and they really look like jeans

I bought jeans in Topshop in black and indigo and they are the best for holding shape.

"Leigh" skinny jeans in Topshop are the only ones that don't sag for me :) Have them ages and they are fab!

I love Topshop skinny jeans. I recently bought a couple of pairs of skinny jeans in AWear in their sale (the Mona ones), they were reduced to €15 and they are actually a really good fit and seem to have kept their shape after a couple of wears!

I have three gorgeous pairs of skinnies from Fat Face (Dundrum), the oldest are three years old, I have literally worn them to death and the shape is still going strong. Bit faded around the knees though :(

I'm a lover of Leigh jeans from Topshop, and more recently their Joni jeans have taken my fancy. They have a higher waist but they are nice and stretchy so they're a good fit.

Yeah, they are pretty good. I have 3 pairs!

Some of the French Connection ones are pretty good too.

I bought a pair of black skinnies in Dorothy Perkins just on a whim when I couldn't find skinnies in other shops and they have turned out to be the best ones Ive bought. Stay in shape even after lots of wear. Just dyed them black again there recently as I couldn't bear to throw them out!

must say, after a few weeks of wearing the Awear Mona skinny jeans, I'm impressed! I've the black and dark navy ones and they have kept their shape really well. They are a really good fit too. I know they have gone back up to €30 since I bought them, but I was really impressed as I've bought AWear jeans before and not been that impressed.

    7 for all mankind...

amazing jeans, super comfie and even come in half sizes.

Wearing older non 7FAM jeans after trying them on just feels wrong. they are sold in bt2's and have an outlet in kildare, range about 100euro, but last for years
