Put in this 200 mtr drive to the house/shed 3-4 yrs ago. At the time it got 6inch stone blinded with 2ich down. And lots of rolling.

Now while its doing its job, lets say the 2inch type stone has come to the top. . Its rough on car tyres. .
Kinda like the bigger stones have come to the top.

Also while i have no pot holes its a bit uneven in places so ill work on that all so.

    Plan

use 804, level it well. .

    Prob €220 a load.

I was thinking path/quarry dust. But im thinking it might be messy to walk on, carrying it into hse etc. . Plus. . Its prob too fine to sort out the uneven bits.

    Thoughts

804 can come apart but quarry dust will bind it together well

If you can get scarafineings from the road they are the best. Put on two or three inches and give a light spray of diesel and roll the dung out of it and it will be like a Tarmac road. You would need a kango to lift it friend done his drive and I'm not kidding I thought it was base coat tar. Only thing is you have to do it on a really warm day so the diesel melts the tar.

This is true but its hard got now as i believe the councils only chip over the roads now rather than ripping it up and repaving it

Yeah local roads only be tar spray and chipped but in around towns and major roads its proper wearing course Tarmac. In towns the tar is up to water mark level on kerbs so they usually plane a bit off before over laying. It's hard got but if you know a man who drives a tipper lorry on the council he might be able to get you a load

We used to plane the m50 at night, there could be 10+ lorries hauling it a km or 2 down the road and tipping anywhere they could.
