    Certain DAFF approved herd numbers can buy/take in such calves.

    feedlot herds can buy them but doubt there are too many feedlots looking for calves. The reason they are allowed buy them is that no animals will ever move out of the feedlot herds again and there only movement will be to slaughter or knackery and TB testing every 6 months

    Probably not. What other options are there for calves? I think it's immoral and inhuman to deliver trailers of suck calves to the knackery every week

    Plenty dreamers selling fr weanlings on donedeal, I saw an ad where some fella in Tipperary is selling fr x weanlings €220 delivered on a closer inspection of the photo I saw a few foxy noses and pointy arses :( If he dropped them yokes into the yard at no cost for animal or delivery they would be too dear.

    He obviosly means 18 gallons altogether. Which means they are milked out.
