my mom is a part time cleaner and my dad is working on the fas (last year he was unemployed and we received the special rate) this year we are not..we rang susi today and they said to get the special your parent needs to be on social welfare for 160 consecutive days? Yet, at the moment my mom has been sick for weeks and is not receiving any money at the moment..she has not received treatment and is off for the foreseeable future! The man on the phone said he did not know would this make a difference? will it?
