    Hello,
We are a small business (ltd) which received an audit notification from Revenue to which we responded to on time. We sent in the books for the dates requested and then nothing. No follow up, no questions just complete silence. It's been over a year now - is there a time limit in which the Revenue have to complete their audit? Or do we continue to wait? Anyone else had this experience?

The longer it goes without reply the less you have to be worried about. They will not leave files with major issues open for long periods of time in my experience.

Wow, that's incredible. I sent in books in mid-July, thinking they'd be reviewed within 2-4 weeks (coz there was so much urgency on getting them in in the 1st place) ! Still no word, I emailed them a month ago & they said they hadn't started & would do so within next 2 weeks.

I'm not sure I agree with Alan, I don't think they've even looked at your file (well maybe a 2 min. glance). If there's no issues - they'd send it back. If there was queries, they'd have asked you.

If it was me, I'd just email them to see what the story was, & get it over with.
