    Hi does anybody no what kind of work there is for people who have no leaving cert ??

    don't think this is the best section for that mate.

    trades where always the direction most people went when they didn't do there leaving cert, but a secure apprenticeship these days is very hard to come by and if you didn't do your leaving cert because you found it difficult then I would imagine the exams during the apprenticeship may come as an awful shock to you (they are very underestimated.)

    my suggestion would be do your leaving cert, whether you feel you can pass it or not.

    I just completed a Level 8 honours degree in Mechanical engineering and I have no Junior Cert, let alone a leaving cert.

    You can go to college as a mature student and apply for a position or you can go part-time with no previous education. Just beware of what course you choose as you will need to catch up very quickly, also the college runs a maths clinic during the summer, bit late for that now but maybe next year.

    You should drop into the college and talk to the lifelong learning centre for more info
