Finances when taking a year out.

Here's a rather broad question with regard to taking a year out. I'm in receipt of the grant from SUSI and BTEA but might need to defer the year. I've already started this year of the course and I'm registered so I'm wondering would there be much financial repercussions from taking a year off?

No financial repercussions if you do it ASAP and you can pick up your grant where you left off next year. You should de-register asap though.
