    Hello all,
I have been claiming casual jobseekers benefit for the last 2 years. I have been working three days in a restaurant and have since been unable to find any full time work. In my latest review, I stated the locations and means that I applied for jobs around Cork City, but since they were all in person I have no written evidence of doing so.

So as of the 22nd of August they have disallowed my claim for JB just as I was about to be done with the hardship of trying to find full time work and decided to go back to college and had applied for BTEA. But since you have to recieving payments immediately up to the point of attending college, it has now voided my application unless I win the appeal to get my claim re-instated. But since I do not have any documentation of the jobs that I have applied for I cant seem to fdind a way to appeal the claim. Does anyone have any advise to give? Very desperate here as I was really banking on BTEA to get me out of this hole of looking for work with no qualification.

    Hope ye can help.

Was in a similar position at one stage. I just wrote out letters saying when and where I applied for a job, and brought it to the places in question to review and sign; didn't get any hassle, and most were willing to help out.

Also, start applying online more; the receipts/confirmation email that the likes of Jobs.ie send out can be a bit of a lifesaver when it comes to proving you're seeking work, and I would strongly suggest you get cracking at it whilst waiting for the appeal to come; bit of looking for part-time and being accepted into college could only really reflect well come review-time. I imagine your claim is only suspended, so once it's back up and running, it won't hinder your BTEA eligibility.

    Wishing you the very finest.
