The key in my back door wouldnt turn and so the door wont lock.

I tried lashing the wd-40 onto all the moving parts to see if it was just siezed
    but not getting any joy.

    Here's a quick video.

Can anyone help diagnose what the problem might be and the best course of action to fix it?

    many thanks

hi your cylinder is fine, the problem is with the multi-point lock in the door. The mechanisms of these locks often break. You need to get the door open and take off the lock off the door and check it. You will most likely find that the mechanism of the lock has broken. Replace it and away you go
