Bandwidth required for Wi-Fi tv

    Told today that I will need minimum 8MB wifi in order to watch matches on wi-fi tv. I have only 2.4Mb on a good day.
    Am I snookered?

    What speed broadband do you have anyway?
    What speed do you get over an Ethernet connection?

    Just did the following test at tv position with laptop. Using Eircom Broadband speedtest the results varied from 2.46 to 5.47!!!!!( I took a photo of the 5.4 reading)
    These are downtimes.
    Using Vodaphone speedtest site the readings were consistent at 2.6 down...0.30 up

    At desktop (direct connection to router) the reading is 2.46down...0.30 up

    Sounds like you're on a 3Mb connection. The 5.47 reading might be an anomaly.
    What modem/router do you have?
    If you contact your ISP, they will tell you the exact speed you're on and what the max available speed is on the line.

    Max capacity 4Mb(but unstable at that)

    Only workaround then would be to lower the resolution you're streaming at on the wifi TV.
