    Folks..
(Firstly, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ask this, but if not, then my apologies - I read the charter, and there isn't any mention of not being allowed, so hopefully it's OK?).

Am looking at buying a car from these guys. Has anyone any experience of dealing with them, good or bad? They haven't been at their current place very long, hopefully they're not one of those places that moves to new premises every other year! Has anyone here bought from them, and if so, was everything OK?

    Thanks...

Your buying a car not a share in their business.
And in saying that you should use your own mechanic to check over car.

Many thanks for that useful advice. Of course I can get someone to check the car pre purchase. It's what happens after purchase if something goes wrong with the car that is not so easy for a mechanic to check. Hence my question.

Unless you get a guarantee the garage isn't under any obligation other than your comsumer rights.
Even with a guarantee its usually only months and limited to engine gear box.
Car garages over my way near nass road change names open and close frequently.

I don't know the garage in question but most new business run into problems in year 2 when 1st year taxes are due.

In todays climate any garage can fold overnight even a well established one.

Saying all that the important part is the car itself use car check and own mechanic to reduce risk.
Look at similar cars in other dealers

Remember most of these dealers buy there stock at auction and have a few trade ins.

They don't often dirrectly employ mechanics or pannel beaters and mostly farm out this work.
Its common to valet the cars themselves.
The warranty you get may be with a 3rd party this is common on higher valued cars.
