Hey there, does anyone know the approximate route and/or terrain of the inaugural NUI Galway 8k (Oct 12th 2013)? Thanks!

    See map on this page:

If you don't know the area, it's a great place to run...

Is the route busy and safe to use for someone training alone?

Safe as houses during the day, plenty of people running there at lunchtime.

    It's not lit at night.

I didn't get to do a trial run. What's the terrain like? I walked down to the river from the Kingfisher the other day and at that point, it's a dirt track through the grass. Is it mostly like that or is there a paved path? What's it like up at Dangan? Thanks!
