Did anyone here get married or attend a wedding in the Ferrycarrig Hotel in Wexford in the last while? Just wondering how late the residence bar stayed open.

Most places we viewed said the residence bar stayed open until 5/6 o'clock. The Ferrycarrig said 3.30 but I kind of got the feeling that that might have been the 'official line' but maybe the reality might be different.

I would not worry about that. We got married there. Drinks were served all night. Think porter was serving drinks after the bar closed at 4. Saw people getting to bed only around 7 . Looking at their state I Can't imagine they were just chatting :)

Thanks glflyinlove. To be honest its kind of what I expect, that's the way most hotels operate. I just don't really want to ask them about it directly. It's not even that big a deal, I just hate the thought of my guests being shuffled off to bed when the party is still going

Just back from a wedding there this weekend. The bar stayed open until 4. Very nice hotel. Food was lovely. Service was only okay. All in all, it was great. After they stopped serving, we were allowed stay in the room for hours.

Super. Sounds great. Thanks for the reply.

Were you at the wedding on Saturday by any chance? We were down meeting the wedding coordinator and got a quick look into the ballroom. Looked great.
