Can a person swear a single affidavit on behalf of two separate defendants?

Yes, if the person has the means of knowledge to so do.

What about a situation where the defendants are separate legal entities i.e. limited liability companies or statutory bodies. If the deponent is an employee of one, can they swear an affidavit on behalf of the other?
