ECCE allowance

My child is eligible from september for the ECCE allowance of 62.50 a week for 38 weeks. This come to 2375 euro a year or broken down comes to 197.91 a month. But the creche my child goes to is telling me the allowance is only 118 euro a month. Is this a mistake or they pulling a fast one ?

I cant remember how exactly its broken down. ..but it doesn't include term breaks or anything like yhat so maybe thats how its less?

But I rang and enquired about it before, I can't remember did I ring the local authority and they transferred me to the HSE...or what...but they were very helpful. So if you enquire with them, get the actual break down and then if it differs from the creche, ask the creche why.

Did you ask them for a breakdown ? If so, what are the figures on their calculations?

if you havent asked them for a breakdown and explanation, then this is the first thing you should do.

It also depends on the qualification that the preschool leader in the room has. Staff with a level 7 or level 8 Degree qualification will qualify the setting for a higher capitation grant.
