I've been using autocad 2012 for the last 2 years, running grand on my hp pavilion dv6,

    Amd dual core processor 2.9ghz,
    4gb ram,
think it had a 1gb dedicated graphics,

I'd say with the one in the link the ram is too low it'll slow pc right down. Especially when projects get larger. you sure she only will be using cad and no other programmes?

Yeah, its only going to be used for autocad. Sorry but I am slow in the head when it comes to things like this. Could you send me some links to cheap enough laptops that would run it?

2 gig of ram is not enough and has already been stated will slow the computer right down. 4 gig is an absolute minimum, if you can get 6 then do and don,t scrimp on the graphics card 1gig is what you should be looking for in that department. You also may have to look at buying a new laptop.

An Intel i3 dual core, with 2ghz min, 4gb of ram and at least 512mb dedicated graphics card.

To be honest, you're not going to get away cheaply with running a program like autocad well, especially if it's a more recent one, it'l demand more memory or ram, and god help her if she's doing 3d modelling on it, get something with at least an i5 processor and 4 to 6 gb of ram, I'm in college myself doing architectural technology and most of the people who skimped out and got cheap laptops are the ones constantly shouting at them to hurry up or asking why are they freezing all the time, like my laptop cost a fair bit but I could only afford it because I was saving for a while, my best advice would be to go to pc world or somewhere like that and ask them about your daughters needs and stuff, because they will be more able to help, also, just be wary about buying off adverts, those laptops aren't always what they're cracked up to be
