Hi Looking at buying 2010 Ford Mondeo (Irish Cars Not Imprts)

Confused About what the difference in the following 2

    Mondeo Style 2.0 TD A 140 PS 09.5 M

    Mondeo Zetec TDC 2.0 A 140 PS

Both are Automatic but this is the difference on log book and when you do model search by registrations on internet .

    Can you help . Thanks

Would have thought they're both tdci
I'm guessing the 09.5 refers to a mid 2009 spec?

Also style is basic and zetec isn't

TD stands for Turbo diesel and TDC for top dead centre. Neither are correct as a turbo diesel refers to the old fashioned diesel engine from the mid nineties back and TDC refers to the postion of the pistons in the engine so they're both typo's and should read TDCI.
    MkIV mondeo (07 - 13) diesel engines from wiki:p

    Diesel engines:
    1.6L TDCi 115 PS I4 DLD-416
    1.8L TDCi 100 PS I4 DLD-418
    1.8L TDCi 125 PS I4 DLD-418
    2.0L TDCi 115 PS I4 DW10
    2.0L TDCi 130 PS I4 DW10
    2.0L TDCi 140 PS I4 DW10
    2.0L TDCi 163 PS I4 DW10
    2.2L TDCi 175 PS I4 DW12
    2.2L TDCi 200 PS I4 DW12

It's the same engine in both. That engine is a Peugeot/Citroen engine and was available in different power outputs in the Mondeo - 115bhp/140bhp/163bhp.

TDCi stands for Turbo Diesel Common rail Injection which all Ford diesel engines have been in that generation of Mondeo.

It's more than likely a simple clerical error in the registration cert.
