Unknown larva invasion!

Hey, firstly, I couldn't find a suitable place to post this so please feel free to move this if needed :).

Over the past few days, there have been tiny larva crawling on the walls and ceilings of my flat. My sisters would flush them down the toliet when they catch them, and usually 3-5 are caught each day. I don't know where they are coming from as we certainly don't have any gone off food or dead animals in the place.

However, about a week or two before, we noticed that a few flies have been buzzing around. We managed to kill all of them(I believe) and they have disappeared since. So, I think the flies have layed eggs and therefore larva hatched, but I don't know where. Maybe in the walls or ceiling through a tiny crack?

Any advice would be appriciated! I never encountered this problem before and my family are starting to freak out as something from the "Infested" programm might happen to us!

If a picture of the larva is needed, let me know!

PLEASE MOVE THIS THREAD TO A MORE SUITABLE FORUM IF REQUIRED.

Yes post a pic please. Different insects have different looking larval stages.

There is a Nature forum too that may be more suitable either.

I'd like to see a pic. There are a few expert posters on the Nature forum that know their bugs.

I'll get a PIC posted next time we find one! :) I wouldn't want to re-post this if a mod could move this it would be a huge help.

It's cream colour, kinda long, red top and the lenght increases and decreases like it's crawling.

I took a pic with my phone of one on the kitchen wall, bad quality, sorry!

Hmmm I think I may have an answer... A few weeks ago I was away for a few days and when I returned, there were larvae of some sort crawling around in my toilet. Coincidentally, there was a moth trapped in my bathroom for the entire duration of my time away! So you might want to have a quick check that there aren't any moths holed up in that room anywhere!

I'll move it to Nature no problem, but you'll need a better image and size if possible, or a photo of the flies.

Thanks, The flies are no where to be seen apparently. I Googled moth larva and it looks the same, as well as some sort of moth type which was in my flat a week ago (smallish and brown). I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow.

    Update:

We found a few files (dead) and about 10-15 larva in an old box of weetobix at the back of the shelf. It's in the bin now.
