GTA V Pre Order

Went onto the PS Store while ago as I heard you could download from 3 today..

It says pre order tho? Will it still start downloading or should it say download?

The preorder is only a preload. Which means you download the whole game, but don't get access to it until midnight Monday.

If you preorder, it will download. However, despite it being 18GB in size, you need 36GB free space in order to download it.

No problem, someone on twitter had a problem with that as he only had a 40GB with just 32GB free. Afaik It'll compress back to 18GB when its finished downloading.

I started at 4PM and it did 40% in about an hour, i stopped it for a while and now it's going so slow; only at about 15% in the last 2 hours.

What are the chances they messed up and it's actually activated and playable, that or you've got a corrupt install.

The game was downloading at about 1-2MB/s earlier and now it's about 200-250KB/s

Yeah the speeds were the same for me. I managed to get about 3GB downloaded earlier while the majority were still complaining to Rockstar and Playstation EU on twitter that they couldn't download.

Im downloading it right now.

I think i might be charged twice for it though..

The first time i preordered it earlier today, when i was prompted to download it, i got the message about not enough space on the hdd.
I cleared up some space and went to redownload, but it didnt show up in download history or the instore dL tab.
Checked bank online and no cash was taken, so i went and tryed preordering again, and started the download from the checkout page..

Anyway, iv since checked my "transaction history" through the ps3, and it shows 2 orders for gtav =/ and iv read that sony wont take any funds until the 17th, explaining why the bank showed no movement when i checked online..

You think i should be worried ? anyone know what support line i should go through for irish sony/psn support ?

You have to have the money in your PSN wallet. They can't take it from your account directly.

Would it be in pending transactions on your account?

But i never top up my wallet before buying a game, just directly through my debit card ? and the game is downloading right now aswel.

Damn, i forgot all about checking my email. Iv just checked now and iv got 4 messages from sony, 2 "pre-order confirmation" emails, along with 2 "cancellation due to payment failure" emails.. looks like i havnt been charged for either. Now ill just top up my wallet with 70e and good to go.

Yeah I topped mine up on Friday and it was charged yesterday evening.

It was the same for the last game I preloaded.

At least we've it already installed and no need to head to a shop and wait.

I was gonna wait till tomorrow to top up, while i consider making a uk account and get it for 60e instead of 70e .. but screw it, im just gonna top of my account now and not risk some delay in payment due to the influx of people ordering and dLing

Its installing right now where a cryogenic sleep booth when you need one....
