Noticed this yesterday, the tap is dripping. The plumber who put it in is away, its in garage rigged to mains. Will fill basin with 24hrs.

Could i fix myself, just a washer or something? Just turn off mains ? Tks.

Turn off mains and turn on the tap. When the water stops flowing use a spanner to open the large hex nut on the tap spindle. Turning anticlockwise, hold the tap with another wrench to avoid damaging the wall-plate/screws. Change tap washer and re-fit spindle. Turn off tap and turn on mains.
