Was in US for a few days with work & on the way stopped by a Cabelas.
Picked up a few bits & pieces but most notably a GoPro 3 Black Edition for €250 incl a spare battery. Prices here can be double that!
Not only was it that price I got 30 quid back in a store voucher so was 'forced' to go around again! :D

If theses stores had the deerhunter, seeland etc brands they would be ridiculous! A lot of aul camo gear which wouldnt be my thing but all the same they are a must for anyone into the sport.

Having moved to the US I'd love to get into hunting, but tags seem to be crazy money...like $4000-$5000 for an Elk. $2500 for a day's guided deer hunting.

My impression of cheap hunting in the US has been completely shattered.

You can hunt public land free of charge.
