Anyone agree that wrestling has gotten much better in the couple of weeks since Cena has gone. Cenas stupid on mike talking and him been the main even had made wrestling crap. I'm really starting to enjoy it the last couple of weeks. YES! YES! YES!

    Not entirely sure I'd agree

HHH knows whats best for business, Daniel Bryant is a scruffy tyrant! :)

The most entertainment I had in the month of September wrestling related was laughing at that Sunny thread. On TV its nearly the same as it was in June quality wise except HHH is cutting overstated promos now.

I'd be happier if I didn't have the growing feeling that the entire HHH story is simply going to tick along till SuperCena arrives back to save us all.

I am optimistic cause WWE don't do following through on long term planning. But I am worried that if Bryan loses tonite they'll go straight to Orton vs Big Show & leave him to feud with random Shield member in the midcard.

Cena left? Seriously? Good Christ - might start watching it again. A few years ago when every main event was American boy Cena v Orton was the main reason I gave up on it.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

He's gone for six months, woop! One of the worst WWE main even stars ever!

    Yes.

If they say six months, he'll be back in three...

Yes all of wrestling has got better cause Cena is gone. The character of Cena is stale, but his matches are of a pretty good standard contrary to what people say. To be honest he can get a crowd pretty fired up, whether there booing or cheering him. His mic skills are cringey as hell though.

Cena's promos can be fantastic, the problem is his material.

So he's Great Khali level bad? Fun side fact: Cena is one of the very few people to carry Great Khali to a good match.

    Every John Cena match is:

He gets kicked around the place for 15 minutes.

He does he side slam or whatever its called.

He does his five knuckle shuckle

    FU and cena wins, woo!

Cena is criminally underrated. His PPV matches, nine times out of ten, are very good. Only the occasional bad showing.

As for his promos, if Punk was giving the exact same stuff, everybody would be creaming themselves. It doesn't matter what Cena does or says, some people have an opinion on him and won't change it.

The quality of the show is the exact same as before hand, maybe a little worse.

Can't get into his promos, but that's about it for me. He produces high quality matches. When Cena's music hits the crowd come to life, it's a sign he is doing his job.

As far as the five moves of doom crap people label him with, when watching a Ric Flair or Shawn Michaels you know they are going to do certain spots. Everyone does, you don't want spots to become interchangeable

I can't believe some people still have this view i would be the first to criticize his character and promos but his in ring in big matches is very good.

I think there is a noticeable lack of star power with him gone.

Yes he actually does, I just find it much better without him

The current WWE product is quite good and it's a result of Cena not being in the main event of every show and not being in the most segments of every show.

However, it'd be just as good if he was in another feud that had the same level of screen time as Punk/Heyman/Axel.

The main event was getting stale with Cena always in it, just like when Hogan was in every main event for eight years too.

As a performer though, Cena is one of the best they have.

Cena is a good wrestler but he's just in a position that doesn't play to his strengths. He's not suited to being a face in the ring because he's not particularly good at selling and his moveset is repetitive. Whenever he plays the heel in matches or things are more back-and-forth, he's much better. He just tends to sell every move his opponent gives him as if he's been shot with a tranquiliser. Compare that to someone like Sheamus who always looks like he's trying to fight back when his opponents are dominating him

I think it has been worse tbh

I find these threads about as boring as people claim Cena to be.

"Wrestling has gotten much better since Cena left"

You should tell that to the folks on WWE's Facebook page.
