    Hi All

Any suggestions on getting a good research kit together?

    Voice Recorder
    Camera
    Camcorder
    Some IR lighting
    EMF reader

    Need a bit of help!

Pen, paper, audio and video recorder would be the basics. After that I'd be asking myself just exactly what it was I was researching before buying any more equipment.

Read up on what an EVP is, and the dos and donts when it comes to recording and post processing them. Read up about the different theories behind EMF and then decide if you need an emf detector at all. If you do use one, make sure you fully understand what its doing and its liabilities.

Things I would advise you to avoid are thermal imaging cameras as they basically are for detecting heat sources (and ghosts if they exist surely wouldnt have a heat source) and normally only handy if you want to show there was a live person around, laser pointing thermometers (unless you want to measure the heat off the nearest wall) and 'full' spectrum cameras as they are just god awful gimmicks and not at all based on the multi spectrum imaging research (in fact they use infrared, ultraviolet and normal video, all of which apparently are the worst kinds of light to be using).

Basically, before you go out ghosthunting, make sure you know what you are doing, the theories behind that, and what you are trying to achieve.
