PS3 and Cisco EPC3925

    Hi all,
I have my PS3 connecting wirelessly to the EPC3925 router I got from UPC, but the connection is unreliable. It seems to get an IP fine, but connecting to the PSN is hit-and-miss.

Running connection tests, sometimes it will fail on "connect to PSN", sometimes on "download/upload speed", or sometimes it will pass everything, only to throw up error 80029020 and sign me out a few mins later.

I've tried a wired connection which seemed to work fine. Connection strength seems to be fine too (~75%). Whenever the download/upload speed test works, I usually get about 8MB down/ 3MB up, which is strange, seeing as I have a 150MB line, but not a big deal.

Settings: I have UPnP enabled in the router and PS3. Everything else is default. I haven't tried putting a static IP in the DMZ or any port triggering stuff yet.

So, has anyone got this router working with the PS3?

In settings of firewall, have only firewall enabled. I left off flood protection and port scan protection.

On PS3, I had to do fixed IP address and entered the full primary and secondary DNS. ie. enter the network settings manually. Leave uPnP on of course.

Finally, the wireless stability from PS3 to Cisco is crap. I bought cheap some powerline adapters and that solved all the wireless issues but still have fixed IP etc.

Look on amazon. There are netgear 200Mps ones for £26 sterling plus shipping. I bought rubbish ON network ones also in Harvey Normans, avoid those and stick with names you know.
