    Insulation beading

Is there any point in blowing beads into 9 inch cavity block. I have gable end of 3 bed semi detached, contractor has told me that he can guarantee 100% fill on front of house, but not on passage side............cant afford to dry line. Anyone have the same issue??? What did you do??

There is no point in pumping anything into cavity blocks. None. Don't waste your money.

Your heat loss might well be air leakage through your walls rather than heat conduction as the block wall is probably bare (unplastered) on the inside (at the back of the plaster board. On windy days do you feel any air movement around sockets, skirting or other wall penetrations?

Yeah there can be a draught. I'm end house at top of hill so I take full brunt of weather. The front of my house is double blocked so will be perfect for beading. Do u think getting outer wall insulated in outside is a better way to do it?

    ?? Don't understand what you're asking here!

Have a read of this for info on your draughts.

One of the other options was to get the outside wall insulated. Thanks for document.

External wall insulation is the bees knees but must be specified properly and may do little for your draughts.

Investigate first where you are losing the heat before spending on "improvements".
