Homemade Ash Vac

So can any of you clever chaps think of a way of making a homemade ash vac. Regular ashvacs are $hit. Can't use them on hot ashes, rubber seal on pipe melts, burns floor, filters clogging etc etc. Conventional way, destroys house in dust, messy and takes too long. I opened kitchen door the other day to have ashes blown all over house again so enough is enough. I want to do it once and no more messing.

So, cost not being a factor as I have any amount of compressors, tanks, pipes, valves etc. lying around, can you think of some way to get hot ashes out of a stove?

I was thinking maybe a barrel with filters connected to a big hoover and pipe running into house behind the stove. My stove is up against external wall and shed nearby. Someone mentioned mixing with water, venturis etc. but I'm out of ideas.

Venturi is the way to go, if you have the air..

But there seems to be a huge amount of bad images around of venturi, that don't work the way they are drawn. strange..

I have a 200 litre compressor sitting in the shed doing nothing a few spare filters from an ash vac and a barrel. I never used a venturi so don't really know much about them. I just figured I would get as much suction from a hoover or are they that good ?

Do I connect suction side of venturi to a barrel with a filter and then a hose from barrel to stove for ashes?

The idea behind the Venturi at start of this video seems to work in principle, but how to collect ashes from air

What about the "DF series" half way down the page. Maybe about 1'

I would try a 2" suction pipe, from the stove, through the venturi, then the outlet of the venturi goes into the barrel. Put one of the ash filters on top of the barrel, to allow the air to escape, but trap the ash.
You could look into using a Cyclonic_separation arrangement to separate the ash from the air, ie Dyson!
